This week's featured items include a delightful scene hand painted by Michelle Kibbe on a seasonal favorite. . . our 6" Pumpkinhead Figurine.

The design on the front of this Opal Satin figurine includes a quartet of black cats that appear to be intently observing a grinning pumpkin trio. Michelle included large seasonal flowers, a blue checked cape and an expressive face (note the long eyelashes). Another black kitty peeks around a smiling pumpkin on the back side.

The mould for "Pumpkinhead" was designed by sculptor Suzi Whitaker and joined Fenton's cast of colorful Halloween characters in 2007.

Right: Throughout the years, Fenton Art Glass developed interesting products especially for the holidays. Our first Halloween offerings in 2002 included a Witch figurine designed by sculptor Jon Saffell (now retired). Our Witch is part of the Halloween holiday tradition for many Fenton fans as well as a favorite piece to paint for Fenton artist Kim Barley. Fans of Kim's whimsical style will want to add this delightful figurine to their collection!

The hand painted details on this 6.5" Opal Satin figurine include a ghoulish green face with eerie staring eyes, a grinning pumpkin, potion bottles, and a stack of books labeled "BOOK OF MAGIC" with a large brown spider on top. The elegant shape of this 10.75"Opal Satin Vase provides a beautiful glass canvas for Michelle Kibbe's vibrant male Cardinal and lush pink Rhododendron blossoms. Large clusters of blooming Rhododendron encircle the vase.

Michelle added a pasture field with a rustic barn and fence and a mountain range in the background. The soft green landscape provides an excellent frame for the Cardinal and Rhododendron flowers. This lovely vase would make a unique keepsake gift for someone special or perfect treat for yourself. . . Hint: Mother's Day is May 10!

Did you know. . . The Northern Cardinal is one of the most well known birds in America. The male Cardinal marks out his territory with song. During courtship, the male will feed seeds to the female "beak-to-beak".

The Rhododendron was designated as the official West Virginia State Flower in 1903 and in Washington State in 1892.

Rhododendron grows in cooler climates and has large beautiful, fragrant flowers and ornamental leaves. The name of this flower is derived from the Greek words for rose (rhodos) and tree (dendron).

The Alley Cat is among the most collectible items in Fenton history. This whimsical figurine has also been one of Fenton's most popular items since it was first made in 1970. Fenton collectors just can't seem to get enough of the Alley Cat's characteristic grin!

This 11" Opal Satin Alley Cat features a detailed design of a "Geoffroy's Cat" by Robin Spindler. The hand painted details are true-to-life and meticulously executed.

The mould for this piece originated at the U.S. Glass Co. in Tiffin, Ohio during the 1920s and was purchased by Fenton Art Glass in the mid-1960s. Since that time, this Alley Cat has been made in a rainbow of colors and many decorative treatments. Each Geoffroy's Alley Cat Figurine is $190.

Did you know. . .
The Geoffroy Cat is small with a uniformly patterned coat of small black spots of nearly equal size and spacing. These solitary felines are found in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay, and Uruguay.

Robin added an extra splash of color to this vase by creating large flowers and butterflies with vibrant tie-dye patterns. Gemstone accents provide extra sparkle on the body of the two fluttering butterflies next to the Geoffroy's Cat. Each Geoffroy's Cat Vase is $180.

Above: Kim Barley continues her whimsical designs with this "Boo Y'all" Opal Satin 4" Iceberg Paperweight. A ghost holds onto a pumpkin which bears the hand lettered "Boo Y'all" message. Kim added a long leafy vine, a large spider web with a dangling purple spider sporting large googly eyes as well as gold and white star accents to complete this fun design. Each Boo Y'all Paperweight is $80.

Left: Collectors have enjoyed the charm of Fenton fairy lights for more than half a century. The flickering flame from a small candle inside a Fenton Fairy Light always seems to warm an entire room. This latest Limited Edition Fairy Light is no exception!

Michelle Kibbe created a beautiful Dragonfly and floral motif on this 4.75" Opal Satin Fairy Light. Michelle airbrushed the base in a pale yellow to complement the hand painted yellow and purple flowers on the shade.  She added a thin band in yellow-gold around the top of the shade.

Two dragonflies alight on the thin green stems. Note those lovely and delicate iridescent wings. Additional views of this Fairy Light are shown below. Each Dragonfly Fairy Light is $95.
