Our 10.25" Opal Satin Vase provides an excellent glass canvas for Michelle Kibbe's hand painted winter scene of Canada Geese foraging in the snow. Michelle airbrushed the base and top in shades of a sunset and added delicate bands of color to create a frame effect for her design. The hand painted details, especially on the Canada Geese are meticulously executed and realistic. Michelle added a rustic mill with wooden water wheel and winter scrub grass in the background. Did you know. . . Canada geese will choose mates when they’re around two years of age. Pairs stay together for the remainder of their lives, which averages 24 years. Canada Geese usually choose partners that are similar to their own body size. . . a pattern known as “assortative mating.” Each Canada Geese Vase is $175.
This Fenton Art Glass 3.5" diameter crystal paperweight has been transformed by Michelle Kibbe into the habitat of a Red-eyed Tree Frog! Her design covers the front of the paperweight. The back side has been painted in a purple hue providing the unique background for Michelle's scene of the Red-eyed Tree Frog clinging to a thin, leafy branch.
Did you know. . .  The most poisonous among all amphibians, the iconic rain-forest Tree Frog sleeps by day, usually stuck to the bottom of a leaf. When disturbed, it will flash their bulging red eyes and reveal large, webbed orange feet and colorful flanks. This technique is called "startle coloration" and may cause a predator, such as a bird or snake, to pause. This may allow just enough time for the frog to spring to safety.
Each Tree Frog Paperweight is $70.

This 11" Caramel Alley Cat features a hand painted design by Kim Barley of a ruby-throated hummingbird seeking nectar from a large, purple thistle flower. The details on the hummingbird are beautiful. Kim added complementary hues of blue and green on the body as the background for her scene. More thistle blossoms are painted on the side of this figurine. Note those wide aqua eyes, pink nose and the blue-tipped ears.

The Alley Cat is among the most collectible items in Fenton history. This whimsical figurine with the Alley Cat's characteristic grin has also been one of Fenton's most popular items since it was first made in 1970. The mould for this piece originated at the U.S. Glass Co. in Tiffin, Ohio during the 1920s and was purchased by Fenton Art Glass in the mid-1960s. Since that time, this Alley Cat has been made in a rainbow of colors and decorative treatments. Each Hummingbird 'n Thistle Alley Cat Figurine is $185.

Fenton Art Glass eBay Auctions. . .

Here's your opportunity to own a lovely "one-of-a-kind" Fenton Art Glass creation through our weekly Fenton Art Glass eBay auctions. These Fenton Art Glass eBay auctions will end at 2 p.m. (ET) on Wednesday, January 29, 2020. Items featured this week. . .

With Persimmon glass for their canvas, Fenton artists Cathy Mackey and Michelle Kibbe combined their efforts on this beautiful one-of-a-kind vase (10.75" tall).

Cathy Mackey did the careful masking and the intricate sand carving to create the leafy trees and the attractive border at the very top of the vase.

Michelle designed and hand painted the scene featuring three Moose in their native habitat with grass and scrub trees and gentle rolling hills in the distant background. Persimmon is cased glass, consisting of a Milk Glass interior and an outer layer of red glass; sand carving takes away some of the red glass to create the vivid yellow/orange you can see in these photos.

With satin finished Fenton Art Glass Ruby glass for her canvas, Fenton artist Kim Barley came up with an "outside the Fenton box" design idea and hand painted this one-of-a-kind 6.5" Pine Tree. Careful airbrushing created the varying green and red tones of color in the lower half of the tree that remind one of a watermelon. The hand painted Blackbirds, with blue highlights and yellow beaks, peer out from their perches on the tree branches, and you'll enjoy those big eyes that seem to look right at you! Note the hand painted leaves, white dots and other accents on the tree.

Here's Grandma with cookies from the oven! Award winning Fenton designer Robin Spindler hand painted this wonderful one-of-a-kind 5.5" Opal Satin glass Pumpkinhead figurine. The soothing overall lavender color is quite attractive, and Robin's incredibly intricate hand painted lace cuffs and collar with gemstone accents are sure to draw gasps of wonder from all who see this Pumpkinhead figurine. Note the lettering ("Fresh Baked Cookies") on Grandma's apron bag! The five-petal flowers with yellow centers reflect years of tradition by Fenton Art Glass artists and decorators. These Fenton Art Glass eBay auctions will end at 2 p.m. ET on Wednesday, January 29, 2020.
