On Monday, July 27, auctioneer Randy Clark will sell 50 lots (numbers 100 to 149A) consigned by Fenton.
Also included in this auction are postcards (one from 1907!), photos, original copper printing plates from 1909-1911, many glassworkers' tools (including basket handler's marks) and some wonderful one-of-a-kind Fenton pieces decorated by Robin Spindler, Kim Barley and Frances Burton.


Shown here are auction items previewed in our previous newsletters. The offhand vase shown above was made by skilled glassworker Frank Workman as a “special order” prototype for a designer based in New York City. The 8.25” tall vase is black glass with a variegated surface that has been rolled in various yellow/light brown colors of frit.

on Monday, July 27, at Randy Clark's Auction Gallery in Dexter City, Ohio (just off I-77 about 20 miles north
of Williamstown, WV).

Fenton Gift Shop is pleased to offer four new Limited Edition pieces, designed by our award-winning Fenton Art Glass designers. Each piece will be handpainted, signed and dated. The Opal Satin Owl figurine and Buttercream Rose Bowl were handcrafted, using a Fenton mould, as exclusives for the Fenton Gift Shop by our friends at Mosser Glass.

 

Frances Burton designed this 6" Owl figurine! She used subtle colors to create a nautural look for the body, wings and base and added vibrant handpainted details for the face and chest. You'll especially love the eyes! This Owl figurine is $85.00 and limited to 12 pieces. Frances also designed the Dogwoods pattern on the lovely Buttercream Rose Bowl. Note the delicate details on the petals! This Rose Bowl set (with antique brass stand), is $195 and limited to 11 sets.

Fenton designer Kim Barley enjoys designing whimsical and fun scenes for Halloween and this one is no exception. . . you'll love Kim's creepy haunted house, black cat, witch, tombstones, scarecrow, and the gnarly tree with the large cobweb. You can almost feel the serenity of a calm winter's day when you gaze upon this marvelous "Birch Trees" Amphora designed by Frances Burton. Her design encircles the amphora, and no matter how you display it, it is simply breathtaking. This "Birch Trees" Amphora with stand is $225.00.

Shown here are our latest offerings from our award-wining Fenton designers: a one-of-a-kind Alley Cat figurine (11" tall) handpainted to resemble a "tiger" by Robin Spindler, as well as a lovely Seabreeze glass Vase handpainted by Frances Burton with a one-of-a-kind "goldfinch on thistle" design.

 

Last, but not least is an original basket "handler's mark" from the Fenton Art Glass Company. This tool was used by skilled glassmaker Junior Thompson during his time at Fenton. The handler's mark has been mounted on an attractive wooden base. This would make a unique paperweight for some lucky collector!
