Happy
Mother's Day from Fenton Art Glass. . .
As we celebrate Mother's Day this year, we pay
tribute to all mothers and special people who take care of
loved ones with a few quotes from some
"well-known" children:
"Youth fades; love droops, the leaves of
friendship fall; A mother's secret hope outlives them all." ─
Oliver Wendell Holmes
"I remember my mother's prayers and they have always followed
me. They have clung to me all my life." ─ Abraham Lincoln
"My mother was the most beautiful woman I ever saw. All I am I
owe to my mother. I attribute all my success in life to the
moral, intellectual and physical education I received from
her." ─ George Washington

Michelle Kibbe’s rendition of a cute raccoon
climbing over a fence on our 11” Opal Satin Vase will delight
one and all. A rustic fence, along with colorful flowers and
latticework accents, encircles the vase. An inquisitive
raccoon has one paw on the fence and the other paw is reaching
over, perhaps to help the little critter climb up higher to
see if any goodies on the other side. Note the expression on
the face. Each “Curious Raccoon” Vase is $190 and limited
to eight vases. |
This 3.5” Bear Figurine is handcrafted
in our new Eggplant color. Michelle Kibbe created an
adorable design with an aqua-blue and white striped
outfit with small purple bow. Michelle added a
delicate gossamer-style hat adorned with a floral
wreath. A cluster of violets is near one paw. Each
“Baby Violet” Bear Figurine is $80.
Kim Barley continues her popular
Halloween-themed designs on this approximately 6.75”
Ruby Satin Tree Figurine. She has covered this tree in
wonderful designs, including pumpkins with marvelous
expressions, a purple bat, a scruffy cat, colorful
candy corn, a golden spiderweb, polka-dotted bow tie
and star accents. Kim hand lettered the words “eek”
and “Boo!” to complete her whimsical Halloween Tree.
Each “Boo!” Tree Figurine is $80.

Raccoon Vase, the Baby Violet Bear and
Boo! Tree Figurines will be accepted until midnight (ET) on

This whimsical Alley Cat figurine has been
one of Fenton's most popular items since it was first made
in 1970. The mould originated at the U.S. Glass Co. in
Tiffin, Ohio during the 1920s and was purchased by Fenton
Art Glass in the mid-1960s. Since that time, this Alley
Cat has been made in a rainbow of colors and decorative
treatments. Robin Spindler has transformed this 11” Opal
Satin Alley Cat into a “Kodkod”, one of the smallest cat
species. Robin has captured this unique feline’s
disctinctive markings, while keeping the Alley Cat's
characteristic grin!
Did you know. . . The Kodkod has a head and body
length of up to 20" and weighs from 3.3 to 6.6 lb. The
Kodkod’s buff or gray-brown coat is marked with round
black spots on its head and neck that may form broken
streaks. It has a short, bushy tail marked with a series
of narrow, black bands of fur. Each Kodkod Alley
Cat Figurine is $185 and is limited to nine.

in realistic tones by Robin Spindler to resemble an
Appaloosa horse, which is known for its beautiful spots.

Fenton Art Glass
eBay Auctions. . .
Here's your opportunity to own a beautiful
"one-of-a-kind" art glass creation or items from
Fenton's past through our weekly eBay auctions. Fenton's
eBay auctions will end at 2 p.m. (ET) on
Wednesday, May 15.
Items featured this week. . .
With Lotus Mist Burmese glass
for her canvas, Fenton artist Michelle Kibbe
designed and hand painted this marvelous
one-of-a-kind vase. The vase stands 13" tall,
and Michelle's depiction of Gambel's Quail is
simply wonderful. These distinctive birds are
native to the Sonoran desert and are abundant
near desert streams and waterholes. Coveys of
these quail gather at the water in morning and
evening, giving a variety of clucking and
crowing notes. The colors of male and female
are accurately hand painted, and all the
details are meticulously done. The surrounding
Cacti and the landscape add much depth to this
piece. Lotus Mist Burmese is a unique glass
color in the history of American art glass,
and mush credit goes to those responsible for
its creation at Fenton Art Glass nearly 20
years ago. This one-of-a-kind hand painted
Lotus Mist Burmese vase is signed, dated and
identified on the underside: "hand painted by
M. Kibbe 2019 OOAK".

Award-winning Fenton designer Robin Spindler
has captured all the majesty of the exotic Royal Flycatcher
bird with this depiction on a cobalt blue Iceberg Paperweight
(7" tall). The hand painted colors are true to life and the
details are amazing! The carefully airbrushed background adds
great depth to the meticulous hand painting. This one-of-kind
hand painted iceberg paperweight is identified, dated and
signed on the underside: "Fenton 2019 Royal Flycatcher hand
painted by J. K. Spindler".
These auctions will end on Wednesday, May 15, 2019.
