Cast a soft, warm
light in any room with our Fairy Light Lighthouse. This
Lighthouse was handcrafted in Opal Satin glass at Fenton
Collectibles using the Fenton Art Glass moulds that were
not used for production before glassmaking halted at
Fenton in 2011. Designer Kim Barley created a blue-toned
background for her wonderful hand painted scene featuring
gray stone blocks, darkened windows and an outbuilding
with lots of greenery and purple-pink flowers.
Soaring seagulls adorn the lid and delicate black
pinstripes encircle the top of the Lighthouse. Kim added
craggy rocks with rushing water on the base. This
Lighthouse is 8” tall when assembled (5” base, 3” top). A
battery-operated tea light is included with each
Lighthouse. Each Blues Lighthouse Fairy Light is
$125. |
This 3.5" Opal Satin Duckling figurine is a
welcome sign of Spring with Michelle Kibbe's design
featuring hand painted tulips, a pink flower petal
parasol and colorful blue bow tie. Note those adorable
blue eyes! This Duckling is the perfect addition to
any figurine collection! Each
Pinkie the Duckling Figurine is $75.

Our
Opal Satin Bridesmaid Doll figurine has been
transformed in to an elegant lady ready for a fancy
ball. Michelle Kibbe has adorned this 6.75" figurine in
a hand painted dress of lustrous black with large
polka dots, swirls and ruffles
in a lovely yellow hue.
Michelle added delicate yellow
rosebuds and ribbon for the bouquet. These photos show
various views. . . note the large yellow bow
tied at the back.
Each Dottie Bridesmaid Doll Figurine is
$110.

This 11.75" Opal Satin Vase is impressive
by itself. . . add Robin Spindler's hand painted white
breasted nuthatches and white birch trees and it becomes a
magnificent tabletop display! As always, Robin's
meticulous and true-to-life details are a tribute to her
talent!
Did you know. . . Nuthatches
are the only species that can walk both up and down a
tree. A common visitor to backyard bird feeders, the name
Nuthatch is derived from the term "nut
hacker" because these birds are known to lodge nuts into
tree crevices and hack away at them.
Each White Breasted Nuthatch Vase is $270. |
Kim Barley's large golden bow really
sets off this 3.75" Opal Satin Sitting Bear. As
always, Kim added expressive blue eyes and a sweet
smile to complete her adorable white bear. Note the pad details on
the paws.
Each Golden Bow Bear Figurine is $75.
Kim Barley is already thinking about
Valentine's Day! Her hand painted design on our 5.75"
Opal Satin Ghost Figurine showcases two lovebirds perched
under a decorative musical note banner with a hand
lettered "You
make my
Y
sing" message that includes a polka dot heart shape.
Kim is known for whimsical creativity and she delivers
with a happy, smiling expression for this figurine.
Note the envelope and hearts on the back side. Perfect
gift for special someone this Valentine's Day!
Each Make My Heart Sing Ghost
Figurine is $110.

Vase, Golden Bow Bear and Make My Heart Sing

Fenton Art Glass eBay Auctions. . .
Here's
an opportunity to own a beautiful "one-of-a-kind" art glass
creation or unique art glass item through our weekly eBay
auctions. These auctions will end at noon (ET) on
Wednesday, January 10th.
Items featured this week. . .
Several years ago, a well known television
personality and his
crew visited Fenton Art Glass to record an episode for the
famous program about hard, dirty work. The star of the show worked with several different groups of glassworkers at
Fenton, and everyone involved had a great time. Now, here's a
once in a lifetime opportunity to acquire one of the items
that this star tried his hands at creating. He was paired
with skilled glassworker Frank Workman while Frank was making
a special vase with multicolored frit and colored powders and
a crystal stem and black foot and black topmost edge. The
star's
efforts resulted in the "vase" you see pictured here! It's
pretty heavy and it won't stand up straight (it's about 8.25"
long), and the topmost edge is far from perfect ... but it's a
true one of a kind! We think adding some gel wax to the bottom
may enable it to stand upright. We'll also include a DVD of the complete
television program episode, so you can view the entire program and see
the segment where the star of the show is working on this interesting vase.
With Opal Satin glass for her canvas, Fenton artist Michelle
Kibbe designed and hand painted this wonderful, one-of-a-kind
scene of a squirrel holding an acorn while sitting on a birch
tree branch. She created a soft blue tine for the background
with leaf accents on the head and back side of this 3.75" tall
figurine. The expression on the face is marvelous and the hand
painted scene very detailed.
Everyone loves butterflies. This very special Fenton crystal
glass Butterfly was made in the 1970s, and award-winning
Fenton designer Robin Spindler has used her talents and skills
recently to create a wonderful one-of-a-kind hand painted
decoration, complete with vivid colors and applied gemstones.
The Butterfly stands 4.75" tall. You'll marvel at the metallic
look to the golden-orange wings and the sparkling surface.
Robin also hand painted the white flowers encircling the base
of this figurine. These auctions will end at noon (ET) on
Wednesday, January 10th.
