Fenton Art Glass Presents. . . "Christmas in July" Online Specials!

As mentioned in previous newsletters, the Fenton Art Glass factory site was purchased by Wood County Schools. The factory and Fenton Gift Shop buildings will be demolished later this summer in preparation for construction of a new Williamstown-Waverly Elementary School on the site.

Fenton Gift Shop is moving to a new location (just down the road):
2242 Williams Hwy., Suites 107-108, Williamstown, WV 26187 and plans are to re-open soon! Watch this newsletter and our Facebook page for news on our re-opening at this location. As we prepare for our move to a "smaller" space, we are clearing out the remaining factory inventory of handcrafted glass, jewelry, reference materials, and more.

NEW Limited Edition Designs from Fenton Gift Shop. . .
We are getting settled in at our new location and we're pleased to once again offer new Limited Edition selections for pre-orders. Each piece features a hand painted design and is signed, numbered and dated by one of our talented designers. All of these selections were handcrafted exclusively for the Fenton Gift Shop by Mosser Glass, using a Fenton mould. Included in this week's offering are a Cobalt Alley Cat as well as two Vases and three figurines: a Witch, a Puppy and a Mouse, each piece handcrafted in Opal Satin glass.

Our 10.25" Opal Satin Vase  provides a wonderful canvas for Michelle Kibbe's hand painted design of a Cardinal amongst the Fall foliage and pine trees as the main design. However, no matter how you view this vase, you'll be delighted with the view. Michelle added a large pine tree on one side and pine branches on another side that provide a framed view of a country church. Each Cardinal in the Pines Vase is $190.

Above: Sure to become part of your annual Halloween tabletop display, this 6.75" Witch figurine features a whimsical design by Kim Barley. With green-toned skin and purple hair, this witch figurine has all her "bewitching tools" for Halloween fun: a black cat, a pumpkin carved with the word "MEOW", dangling spider, a boiling pot of witch's brew and more! Each Witch Crossing Figurine is $125.   Right: Perfect for figurine collectors, Kim Barley's delightful "Dr. Mouse" has all you need to feel better! Also, if you received the "Nurse" Mouse, then you'll want this "Dr. Mouse" as a companion piece! Kim's hand painted accents on this 2.5" figurine include a pill bottle, checklist, band aid, heartbeat symbol and Rx on the ears. "Dr. Mouse" is adorned with a white lab coat, complete with MD on the pocket. Kim added a stethoscope and headlamp to complete the look. One look at Michelle Kibbe's design on this figurine and we knew it would be named "Playful Puppy"!   She hand painted this 3" high and 3.75" long figurine in natural brown tones. Note the adorable golden eyes and hand painted details on the face that make you want to just reach out to pet it! Each Playful Puppy Figurine is $75. Our 10" Feather Vase provides the perfect canvas for Robin Spindler's hand painted "Fading from Memory Northern Carolina Flying Squirrel" design! Robin continues her Endangered Species theme with this wonderful depiction of this unique squirrel. The hand painted details are meticulously executed and Robin added lovely blue and purple flowers to complete this Limited Edition Feather Vase.   Did you know. . . Placed on the Endangered Species List on July 1, 1985, the Northern Carolina Flying Squirrel is nocturnal and has large eyes to help it see at night. These squirrels cannot actually fly. They glide by extending a fold of skin that stretches from their wrists to their ankles. The flattened tail acts as a rudder. This particular species is a relic of the last ice age. As glaciers retreated northward and temperatures rose, remnant populations of the Northern Carolina Flying Squirrel remained in the suitable habitat left behind on the high mountaintops along the ridges of the Southern Appalachian Mountains. Each Fading from Memory, Northern Carolina Flying Squirrel Feather Vase is $180.

The richness of Cobalt Glass provides the perfect canvas for Robin Spindler's hand painted "Let the games begin" design on this 11" Alley Cat. Two boys are shooting marbles while a faithful boxer observes their game.
