Kim airbrushed the entire vase in soft pastels for a rainbow

Spring has definitely "sprung" with this
colorful scene on our Opal Satin Ghost figurine. Kim Barley
airbrushed the figurine in soft pastels to create the
background for her lush floral design.

the front while a large pink tulip and bud are hand painted on
the back side of this figurine.

Robin Spindler calls her hand painted design
"Hide & Seek" and will include this title as
part of her signature
for each Alley Cat figurine. Young foxes, known as kits,
are born between March and May. Robin's colorful scene shows
the kits playing a game of "hide & seek" among the daisies. A
lovely blue sky with birds in flight provide the background for this splendid scene. Did
you know. . . The red fox has excellent hearing and can
reportedly hear a watch ticking 40 yards away! Each Hide
& Seek Alley Cat Figurine is $250.

Michelle Kibbe chose a popular visitor to many
a backyard bird feeder. . . the American goldfinch... for this
impressive 12.25" tall vase. Michelle's scene features two
brightly colored American goldfinches perched on the stems of vibrant purple
iris flowers.
The back view of the vase is just as beautiful with a
marvelous hand painted scene that includes a country lane,
winding along-side a small stream, which leads to a large barn
with a blue sky and majestic purple mountains in the distance.
Each Finches on Iris Vase is $220.
The perfect companion piece for the above vase
is Michelle's hand painted Goldfinch Bird figurine. The
feathered details are true to life. Perfect gift idea for the
figurine collector or bird watcher! Each American
Goldfinch Bird Figurine
is $75. |

Fenton Art Glass
eBay Auctions. . .
Here's an opportunity to own a beautiful
"one-of-a-kind" art glass creation or a part
of Fenton's history through our weekly eBay auctions.
This auction ends at noon (ET) on Wednesday, April 5,
2017.
Items featured this week. . .
A pair of playful kittens (could they be twins?) pause to gaze
at a yellow butterfly on this splendid one-of-a-kind hand
painted vase (9.5" tall) by Fenton artist Michelle Kibbe. The
satin-finished cobalt blue glass is the perfect background for
Michelle's lush hand painted floral motif and foliage, and the
twin kittens are perfectly detailed and wonderfully realistic.
The vase was handcrafted at Blenko Glass, using the Fenton
mould, exclusively for Fenton Art Glass.
With Lotus Mist Burmese glass for her canvas, Fenton artist
Michelle Kibbe designed and hand painted this splendid
one-of-a-kind combination of a floral motif and interesting
scenes on this 9" tall vase. The Dogwood flowers around the
base are beautifully done, and you'll love the scenic
depiction of rolling hills, a meandering dream and a white
church beside a country road. Lotus Mist Burmese is a classic
Fenton glass color that contains pure gold in the batch and
requires special reheating techniques to create the delicate
pink blush.
This 8" Opal Satin plate from Fenton Art Glass
production features a wonderful, one-of-a-kind hand painted
"Haunted House" scene created and hand painted by Fenton
artist Kim Barley. Every element of the scene─from the
splendidly detailed Victorian house and the dead tree to the
bats circling aloft and the forbidding airbrushed background─
is perfectly executed. Kim has lettered the back of this
one-of-a-kind plate as follows: "Ghosts are hiding in the
walls. Creeping out when darkness falls.” She added “OOAK
2017” below the poem. Kim’s signature appears on the front of
this one-of-a-kind plate, just below the tombstone: “Kim
Barley 2017". Includes plastic plate stand.
Here's a rare opportunity to acquire a tool actually used in
making handmade glassware at the Fenton Art Glass Co., and
this example goes back many years. This tool is 15.75" in
length, and it was used to "turn out" hot glass items after
the glass had set up and the cast iron mould was opened. In
the first few years of glass production at Fenton, it was not
unusual to have young fellows 12-13 years old working as
"turning-out boys" or performing other tasks in the glass
factory manufacturing area. The tool operates like a set of
pincers to fit around the glass item and then can be squeezed
to hold it securely and take it away from the mould. What a
great piece of Fenton history!
Click here to place your bid! This Fenton eBay auction ends at noon (ET) on
Wednesday, April 5, 2017.
