Fenton "Memorabilia" Auction Set for July 27th. . .

Shown here is a marvelous conversation piece for any collection! For many years, these signs were overhead at the Fenton Art Glass Company time clock area where employees would “clock in” and “clock out” using their
time cards. HOT METAL employees were those involved in glass production on the factory floor, while COLD METAL employees were those in Selecting, Finishing, Decorating, Packing,
Shipping, etc.
 

Also included in this auction are postcards (one from 1907!), photos (Dave Fetty in 1975!) and snapshots, original copper printing plates from 1909-1911, many glassworkers' tools (including basket handler's marks) and some wonderful one-of-a-kind Fenton articles decorated by Robin Spindler, Kim Barley and Frances Burton. This auction begins at 10 a.m. (ET) on Monday, July 27, at Randy Clark's Auction Gallery in Dexter City, Ohio (just off I-77 about 20 miles north of Williamstown, WV). Shown here are our latest offerings from our award-wining Fenton designers: a one-of-a-kind Alley Cat figurine (11" tall) with a fun and whimsical Giraffe with baby scene by Kim Barley as well as a lovely cased glass vase (Milk Glass w/black) handpainted by Frances Burton with a one-of-a-kind "Autumn" scene of a barn at the end of a fenced and winding lane.

Last, but not least is an original tool called a "finisher's paddle" from the Fenton Art Glass Company. This tool was used by skilled glassmaker "Butch" Wright and his initals are cut into the wooden handle.
