Recently, Fenton jewelry designer Jena Lane Blair began musing about a casual, yet versatile style of jewelry that could be worn multiple ways. Taking a few bits of leather and chain, she started a vision that launched our artists into completely new styles of glass and hand applied decoration.

Her imagination captured all of us and we are thrilled to share the results with you in our new collection:

Fenton eBay Auctions. . .

Items featured this week. . . include the items shown below. A Cranberry Amphora Vase designed by Fenton designer Martha Reynolds as a limited edition piece for QVC in 1998; a one-of-a-kind Doll figurine in Opal Satin handpainted with a sunflower theme by Kim Barley; a one-of-a-kind Banana Cream Art Glass Pendant with a complementary design (initialed by Kim); and a Spruce Green glass Lightning Rod Ball, made for Harger, a company that specialized in reproductions of vintage lightning rods.

These Fenton glass creations will make unique additions to any Fenton collection! This auction ends at Noon (ET) on Thursday, July 17. When this auction ends, however, another begins . . . so be sure to check them out!

Fenton Museum Glass Auction Scheduled for July 26. . .

The third and last auction of glass from the Fenton Museum will be held on July 26 at 11 a.m. (ET) at auctioneer Randy Clark's Dexter City Auction Gallery in Dexter City, Ohio. This auction will feature 585 lots of Fenton glass from the Fenton Museum. These pieces are representative of glass from throughout the factory's 106 years of glassmaking history.

“Almost all of the glassware will come from the displays that were in the Fenton Museum,” said Fenton historian James Measell, who worked with Frank M. Fenton in the mid-1970s when the Fenton Museum was begun. “Frank purchased glass for the museum from private collectors and at auctions, and the museum contained a wide variety of Fenton glass, ranging from items dating back to 1907, rare Carnival glass and offhand ware from the 1920s to Louise Piper handpainted decorations and significant glass colors and decorative treatments from every decade of Fenton glass production. This auction sale will be one of the great events in Fenton glass history, I’m sure.”

Fenton Gift Shop Hours for July 2014. . .
Fenton Gift Shop is open on Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday 10 a.m.- 4 p.m.  Fenton Gift Shop will also be open on Wednesday, July 30 (during Collector Conventions) from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. Otherwise, the Fenton Gift Shop will be closed on Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday.
