Fenton USA Presents. . . Hats Off to Fenton Burmese!
We continue to offer limited
quantity selections from remaining factory inventory as Internet
Specials (online sales only with one Top Hat per
customer because of the limited quantity). We have a very limited
quantity of these Top
Hats available as an Internet Special... handcrafted in Fenton's
classic Burmese.
Recall fond childhood memories as you gaze upon the handpainted
design on this Top Hat. Burmese provides the perfect canvas for
Stacy Williams' panoramic design of a summer scene with a tire
swing hanging from a tree as the focal point.
Our various "top hat" moulds date
back to the mid/late 1930s, and they were first used in creating
many different treatments in opalescent glass colors. In the
1940-50s, the top hats were popular in their own right, and the
edges were shaped in several different ways by our skilled
glassworkers. These moulds could also be used to make baskets.
Top hats in all sizes are of interest to Fenton collectors, and
we're particularly fond of those in opaque colors that feature
handpainting by our talented designers and artists. Out hat's off
