THE FENTON GIFT SHOP RESPONDS
TO MAY 24 FENTON ART GLASS AUCTION NEWS

 
(Williamstown, WV, March 30, 2012). The Fenton Gift Shop, a separate corporation from the glass company, is very interested in what happens with the intellectual property and moulds of the Fenton Art Glass Company, as their disposition could have a great effect on the future prospects of the gift shop. “Our officers and major shareholders have met,” said gift shop President Randall Fenton. “The history and legacy of glassmaking in America is very important to all of us, and the gift shop is considering participating in the auction of the glass company’s assets.”

For the foreseeable future, the Fenton Gift Shop will be open seven days per week. There are tours of the beadmaking operation adjacent to the shop Monday-Friday. Decorating designers Kim Barley, Robin Spindler and Stacy Williams have created a number of unique, new handpainted decorations on remaining glass blanks, and we’re looking forward to our Customer Appreciation Weekend April 20-22 and to welcoming Fenton collectors during the Fenton Art Glass Collectors of America and the National Fenton Glass Society conventions in late July.”
