FENTON ART GLASS
SCHEDULES AUCTIONS
(Williamstown, WV, March 29, 2012). The Fenton Art Glass Company has scheduled three auctions during the next several months of 2012 as part of its continuing efforts to meet the company’s obligations to its creditors. Two auctions of glass—now slated for Saturday, April 21, and Saturday, July 28—will be held at auctioneer Randy Clark’s Auction Gallery in Dexter City, Ohio. An auction of assets—now scheduled for Thursday, May 24, at the Fenton factory—will offer, with reserve, the following company assets: wholesale dealer list; company name, logos, and trademarks; glass forming moulds and tools; proprietary glass formulas and other intellectual property. “We are following the recommendations of our financial advisors at the Centrus Group,” said company President George W. Fenton. “Over the past several months, we have been selling traditional Fenton glassware from our inventory. Sales activities are on going, and we are working with other organizations in the giftware industry.” The auctions at Clark’s gallery feature glassware from all eras of Fenton’s 107-year history, and the pieces chosen for sale come from various storage areas within the Fenton factory. Clark has conducted several previous auctions for Fenton Art Glass, and many collectors of Fenton glass enjoy his sales. Each auction will consist of 400 historic glass items, and the articles available on April 21 can now be viewed through Clark’s web site: www.randyclarkauctions.com The Centrus Group will conduct the auction of specific company assets on May 24, and all inquiries should be directed to: bcohen@centrusgroup.com
