Connie
Mayle, Fenton webmaster, wins AAWM Gold Award
for Fenton Art Glass website
(Williamstown, WV).
Connie Mayle, Fenton
webmaster, has been selected to receive the American Association
of Webmasters, Gold Award for 2006 for her work on the Fenton
Art Glass website. The American Association of Webmasters Awards
are primarily designed to supply formal recognition to webmasters
and designers who have shown outstanding achievement in web
design, content and creativity.
“We see all the hard
work and dedication that you have put into constructing your web
site and your efforts are well deserved. Your site displays: A
nice clean design and layout of website, with quality content and
informative information for your visitors,” stated the Awards
Committee of the American Association of Webmasters when notifying
Mayle of the award.
The AAWM Association,
and more particularly its various Award Programs, was designed to
supply formal recognition and acknowledge the hard work and
dedication that each applicant has put into constructing their web
sites using their own brand of style creativity, and content.
As one of world's peak
internet bodies, the Awards of The American Association of
Webmasters are amongst the most prestigious available - and hence,
amongst some of the more difficult to win on the web. The AAWM has
devised a rating system of Gold, Silver, and Bronze - with these
different rankings enabling them the widest possible area in which
to reward skill, effort and enthusiasm and assist in gaining
credibility for award winning websites.
The Gold Award itself
represents the pinnacle of website design in the United States and
to win this Award is truly an honor. Accordingly only a smaller
proportion of applicants will eventually secure this coveted prize
as the AAWM only rewards those webmasters who have excelled in all
areas.
To receive the Gold
Award, a website has to receive 90 points out of a possible 100.
40 points are given for design and creativity. 30 points are
awarded for content, 15 points for navigation and 15 points for
scripting and technical. The number of points achieved for each
category, can also be deducted if the requirements are missing.
The company submitted its website for nomination.
The Gold Web Award
graphic is provided to winning websites and can be placed on the
winning URL to publicly showcase the web designer’s skills.

Art Glass website has also been placed on the AAWM winners list at
