Fenton USA Presents...Copper Leaf on Chameleon Green
(Williamstown, WV, July 18, 2008).
From its factory in West Virginia, Fenton USA has introduced
Chameleon Green as a new glass color for 2008. The glass is
available unadorned or meticulously handpainted with a crisp, yet
serene "Copper Leaf" motif created by Fenton designer Kim Barley.
Each Chameleon Green grouping includes several items ranging from
baskets, pitchers and vases to roosters and elephant figurines (with
upturned trunk for good luck!).
Jacob Rosenthal, Fenton's first company manager, developed an opaque
color called "Nile Green" before he joined Fenton, and it's been a
collector favorite ever since! Fenton's contemporary version, called
"Chameleon Green" features subtle color changes amidst the
characteristic striations of this interesting hue.
Item 2744 CF 8" Vase retails for $119.50 U.S.
Item 5136 CF 3-1/2" Elephant figurine retails for $32.50 U.S.
