Fenton's "Studio Fenton" Showcases Limited Editions

(Williamstown, WV, April 18, 2008). The 2008 Studio Fenton Collection from Fenton Art Glass showcases the skills and talents of their glassworkers and artists. Included in this year’s Collection is the magnificent “Night Sky” bowl. This bowl will surely become a conversation piece when on display in your home!

For "Night Sky," Frank gathers lustrous Black glass and then works thin patches of special dichroic green glass into the surface. When the piece is complete, these areas seem suspended in black space as they shimmer on the interior. The exterior of this bowl features hand applied hot glass decoration that is shaped by Frank using traditional tools. Great skill and dexterity are required to create the delicate folds
when the bowl is brought to its final shape.
